Jessica is not only the owner of The Fix but she is a master colourist and stylist with a love for balayage. For the last15 years she has been creating and inspiring self-love by capturing her client’s personal style. She is truly passionate about what she does and how she impacts others. 

There is nothing more important than spending time with family and friends. From the moment you meet her you will understand how heart centred she is. Her smile will welcome you into her salon and her easy-going personality and fun-loving conversations will make you feel like you have been a part of her family forever. 

Jessica never stops, at work or home. Building this business has been a dream of her that she has made into a reality. She also knows how important it is expanding her mind and teachings through continuing education, workshops, and fitness.

Being a stylist as long as I have, you would think my interest in the business is wavering. You’d think I’d be bored by now, and learned all I can. Nothing, is further from the truth. I live, eat and breath

education, and the abundance that is available to us as Artists, over the last few years, is truly amazing. I take advantage of every chance I get, to further my education. And bored? Not a chance!! I love our indusrty, and how it’s becoming such an important part of our daily lives. It’s not just hair, it’s community, diversity, inclusion, and support. The Industry, has brought all of those things together, and I LOVE IT!! As far as my personal side, I’m a Mom, Wife, Advocate. I’m originally from Nova Scotia,

so that’s a plus! Lol. When I’m not behind the chair, I am either, with my kids, enjoying the outdoors, (I love a good storm) out for walks, binge-watching anything, educating myself on Human Rights Issues, or just hanging around Social Media. Listening, and exploring new music, is a regular part of my day. And, I talk a lot, a lot. Lol. Well, now that you know about me, why not come to The Fix, get pampered, and tell me about yourself!

KATIE SCHNURR

Master Stylist/Colorist

I've been a hairstylist for 16 years and I've

learned that you can never learn enough when it

comes to hair. No matter how experienced you

are there is always something new to learn about

hair colour, cutting or styling. This is why I find

being a hairstylist so interesting. I have kept

myself up to date with education including

Olaplex certification and Barbicide certification as well as colour/technique classes through Loreal Professional and Matrix Professional. I enjoy learning about new products and helping people find the right products and treatments for their hair. I also enjoy sharing tips and tricks to make styling easier at home. I believe when you look good you feel good even if it's from something as simple as a trim. Whether you're a returning client or someone new I"ll do my best to give you amazing hair that will leave you looking and feeling your best.

RENEE VAN ANKUM

Stylist

I’m new to the Hair industry but I’ve been doing hair since I was in high school and I recently graduated from Georgian College Hairstyling program. I enjoy helping clients to look their best so they can feel their best. In my spare time I enjoy a night out with friends or family and exploring social media. I’m very eager to learn new techniques and tips through my peers or in online seminars. I’m so excited to be starting my apprenticeship at The Fix and I can’t wait for what this opportunity will do for me as a stylist and as a person.

feel their best. I am so excited to learn

I’ve been in the Hair industry since 2018 and I have loved every minute of it. I love that I get to be creative while I make someone else feel their best. The gratification that a simple transformation can make is what motivates me as a stylist. Our industry is forever changing and there are endless learning opportunities. Learning is the key to success! Outside the salon my creativity follows, I love all things nail art and constantly have new designs. Being creative is definitely my passion and I look forward to meeting you.
